Reusing Ink Cartridges Saves You Money

Recently I was in a discussion with a group of writers on the cost of new printer cartridges. One person said she spent $90 recently for hers and she had sticker shock after the purchase. I can relate to that. The ink cartridges I bought back in January were just over $50 for a combo pack which was cheaper than buying them individually.

The price of new printer cartridges for some printers have gone down a little in price. It is still cheaper to refill than to buy new cartridges. This can be beneficial if you are printing projects which requires the use of black ink quite often.

The reason I bought the new ones was because the ones I had were no longer refillable at my local Walgreens store. I found by having them refill my printer cartridges was cheaper and less stressful than buying the kits to do it myself. You can drop off your ink cartridges to have them filled while you wait, to be picked up on the day they are dropped off or another day convenient for you.

The boxes the refilled cartridges come in also had coupons for my next refills. This will another $3 savings per cartridge on my next refill. The total of the two refills were just over $20 including taxes. This saved me over $30 if I were to have bought new ones at Wal-Mart or Walgreens.

Refilling ink cartridges at Cartridge World is cheaper than buying new ones. They refill office printer ink cartridges as well as the standard computer printer cartridges. This type of savings helps businesses cut back on their office supply budgets. The Wichita Cartridge World store also offers a refill 10 and get one free punch card. Be aware each card can only be used at the stores they are picked up at.

There are online sites which offer refilled ink cartridges. This can be tricky though. Often times, these websites sell the do it yourself refill kits rather than the refilled cartridges. If you have the patience to refill the cartridges yourself, the savings can be worth it.

So what happens when your cartridges are no longer refillable? You can have the clerk toss them in their recycle bin behind the counter. This way they won't go into the landfill and be recycled for other items. If you prefer to buy new cartridges and don't know what to do with the old ones, drop them off at any of the locations mentioned for Recycling.

$Recycle Bin on my external hard drive?
I have a 1TB western digital elements hard drive, i have always had a recycle bin folder on my hard drive that is only shown when i plug it into my tv or PS3 but i cant see the folder on my pc. i recently copied some files from my friends computer on to the hard drive and now another folder has appeared named $RECYCLE BIN. I'm sure i don't need this folder as i didn't have it before copying my friends files is there a way for me to delete this? as anything i delete has to then be removed from the desktop recycle bin otherwise it doesn't actually delete the space the files took up... If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it
